Prerequisites, MUS 101, or 102, PSY 101, or consent of instructor. This interdisciplinary course will explore the human perception and cognitive organization of music. Topics covered will include the neurobiology of music, psychoacoustics/music perception, music cognition, music and emotion, the cognitive development of music in children, the neuropsychology of music and music learning and behavior. (Offered fall semester.) 3 credits.
