Starting with classical Hellenic rhetoric, particularly Aristotle's applications to politics, the course deals with how the Western tradition of political rhetoric has been extended worldwide to mass-media based societies favoring the ideologies of democracy, capitalism, fascism, and communism, etc. (Offered every semester.) 3 credits.
