This course will examine various aspects of the Holocaust in literary texts. We will examine the lives of those confined inside the concentration camps, those rescued, those whose lives were destroyed or shattered and those who showed courage. Students will be challenged to evaluate their personal values and develop their own ethical responsibility in the face of ongoing genocides. (Offered every semester.) 3 credits.
