Students will be introduced to the history and origin of rhetorical theory as a discipline with special attention given to the classical Greek and Roman period, Medieval and Renaissance contributions and 18th and 19th Century British influence, and contemporary 20th century scholars including post-modern, structuralism, and post-structuralism influences.
