The course examines meanings of racial and ethnic identities in the United States, the causes of discrimination and prejudice and the responses of minority groups to differential treatment. Focuses on study the economic, political, cultural and historical factors that shaped our historical era and how those factors influence our ethnic and race relations in the United States. (Offered fall semester.) 3 credits.
