An exploration of the urban affairs and the problems faced by local elected officials, business and community leaders, and citizens in the urban context. Topics include theories of urban politics, specifically topics that include governmental institutions, political behavior, and policy responses, as well as current controversies of the changing urban political economy, suburban growth and exclusion, and alternative structures for metropolitan governance.
