This course is an exploration Modern European History through the lens of women's lives and writings. From the French Revolution through World War II, we will study women's changing social, economic, cultural and political roles as revealed in primary sources such as diaries, letters, treaties, contemporary media, and secondary sources of memoir and film. (Offered as needed.) 3 credits.
