Prerequisite, FREN 201, or consent of instructor. This course will explore the rich Francophone literatures of the world from the poetry of the former President of Sénégal, Léopold (Sédar) Senghor, to the famous novels of the Moroccan novelist, Tahar Ben Jelloun and Guadeloupean novelist Maryse Condé. Content varies each time offered focusing on either Francophone literature of Africa or the Americans and the Caribbean. May be repeated for credit. (Offered alternate years.) 3 credi
