Prerequisite, FTV 256. Building on basic skills and knowledge of 3-D animation, this course begins a detailed overview of the production process used in creating digital character animation. Using the Autodesk Maya software package, students will create an animated project from initial design to final character animation. Areas covered by this class include character modeling, advanced character rigging and animation techniques, facial animation, and soundtrack synchronization. Fee: $75. (Offered every semester.) 3 credits.
