This course is designed to familiarize students with major Mexican authors and with a representative synthesis of literary texts from the colonial period through the contemporary times. The selection of texts includes genres of poetry, theatre, novel, short story, chronicle and essay, and it is studied in their cultural and historical contexts. All texts, discussion and written assignments are in Spanish.
