This practicum course focuses on the application for nursing knowledge with elderly persons and families. Emphasis is given to the collaborative application of biological, social, behavioral disciplinary knowledge with the practice and role description of the professional nurse.Nursing services shall be provided in a variety of settings including the community, assisted living facilities, acute care facilities, rehabilitation centers, and long term care facilities. Three (3) hours/week in practicum setting. Prerequisites: NUR 201, 215, 225, 235; Co-requisites: NUR 255, 256, 260, 275.
