Laboratory experiments include themeasurement of strains usingmechanical gauges and electrical resistance strain gauges; behavior and failure to ductile and brittle materials subjected to axial or bending forces; introduction to creep, impact and stability of columns.A design project is required, as well as written reports. Pre- or Co- requisite: EGR 242.
