Provides for utilization of all levels of prevention to assist the community as a client system to promote, restore and maintain stability. Community health programs, projects and agencies are investigated. The nursing process is applied to the community as a client system incorporating public health concepts. The governmental, political and legal influences on community client systems are explored. Clinical experiences in a variety of community settings provide an opportunity for students to study risk factors associated with known stressors and to strengthen the flexible lines of defense. Prerequisite: NURS 410 Fees: Lab - $75, Testing - $45 (2:2)Winter
