Provides the theoretical basis for the application of the nursing process in caring for the ill adult client system. Clinical experiences include primary levels of prevention but focus on secondary and tertiary levels. The following client system disruptions influenced by internal and external environmental forces are addressed: endocrine/metabolic, sensory, integumentary, respiratory and gastro-intestinal.
