The practical applications of music theory to keyboard playing, including playing from chord charts and "by ear," improvisation of solos andaccompaniments, and making appropriate changes to published piano parts, are covered in detail. Melodic harmonization in various styles; elements of jazz, pop, and gospel keyboard; voicing chords idiomatically; and rhythmic "feels" are explored.
