This course provides vocal instruction in a small-group setting (maximum of four students per class). Emphasis is on basic vocal technique, vocal exercises, vocal health, and song literature of various styles (classical, Christian contemporary, Broadway, popular, etc.). Literature studies is chosen at the instructor's discretion, but with the students' specificneeds in mind. Solo performance is required within the class setting. This class is designed primarily for the non-music major, particularly APU choral singers, but may be used by nonvocal emphasis music majors to fulfill core requirement in voice class or applied voice.
