Lecture, 3 hours; Lab 1 hour This is the second of a two-course sequence that addresses the pronunciation, intonation, and structure of the language within a framework which develops basic listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills. Related aspects of the culture supplement the language study. Initial language options are (but not limited to) Russian, Italian, Korean or Portuguese. It is the department's intention to offer at least one of these languages each year. Meets the general studies requirement for University Skills and Requirements. Prerequisite: MODL 101 of the same language
