The purpose of the seminar is to discuss problems common to student teachers in 7-12 classrooms, address individual concerns, and readdress legal issues. The course culminates in the presentation of a professional teaching portfolio completed throughout the credential program. Extensive use is made of outside resource people. Prerequisites: Students must be admitted to the Teacher Education and Single-Subject Credential programs. A school placement for student teaching is required for enrollment. This course is offered for students who have applied and have been cleared for student teaching prior to the beginning of this class. Corequisites for Single-Subject Credential students: TEP 548 and TEP 578A For a description of courses offered by other departments, please consult those specific sections of the catalog.
