This course introduces students to nonverbal communication as a vital factor in human communication by examining the research, practice, and principles underlying nonverbal behavior. The course focuses on several components of nonverbal communication, including touch, proximity, vocal quality, eye contact, facial expression, personal appearance, gesturing, and gender and culture differences in nonverbal behavior.
