3 semester hours Scientific foundations of strength training and conditioning. Prepares students for the National Strength and Conditioning Association's Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) exam. The CSCS credential identifies those individuals who have knowledge in scientific foundations of strength and conditioning as well as the skills to apply that knowledge in a practical format. (Spring) Prerequisites: BIO1060, junior standing, PED3200 strongly recommended.
