4 semester hours A study of current theories and applications in the use of therapeutic modalities in the athletic training clinical setting. The student will gain an understanding of the underlying physics, physiological effects, indications, and contraindications of the use of physical agents. Emphasis will be placed on the proper procedures for application of thermal, electrotherapeutic and hydrotherapeuticmodalities. (Fall) Prerequisite: ATR2500.
