3 semester hours A basic understanding of the law regarding contracts, partnerships, corporations, agency, and property. In addition, students will demonstrate an understanding of the legal environment in which businesses operate; the judicial and law enforcement systems; laws regarding patents, copyrights, and trademarks; anti-trust issues, monopolies, and price-fixing; and factors in the remote business environment such as social, technological, political, economic, and ecological, which impact the operation of business.
