Description:

This course is an exegetical study of I and II Kings with special attention given to the massive number of archaeological discoveries which have a direct bearing on the interpretation of many passages in the two books. The historicity and the theological features of Kings will receive special attention, and, although the basic text will be the English Bible, frequent references will be made to the Hebrew Scriptures. The student will be expected to conduct word studies of important Hebrew terminology. The most important chronological difficulties of the books will be examined and scholarly solutions will be suggested.
