This course is an overview of tourism management. Students learn the fundamentals of how each segment of the industry operates and the interdependence between each segment. Students will examine the phases of tour operations from concept design, through logistics management, to marketing, and tour operations management. Students will also explore the unique and specific management, logistics, and marketing challenges faced by managers in the event, incentive, meetings, and conventions industries.
