This course will provide an overview of the not-for-profit sector, its origins, tax and legal basis, and key trends impacting the sector and will also examine the ethical standards observed in today's not-for-profit organizations. This course will also demonstrate the critical roles not-for profits play in society, describe the national tax and legal treatment of the sector, and place Alaska not-for-profit sector in a national context.
