Practical application of crisis intervention theories and skills in the context of community resources. Domestic violence, sexual assault, suicide prevention, wellness resources will be addressed, as well as crises relating to substance abuse and physical/mental disorders. The distinction between non-medical emergency responses and counseling processed will be examined. Students will explore the resources available in their own communities.
