The study of the biology of insects. A study of the morphology, physiology, phylogeny, ontogeny, behavior, ecology and population biology of insects. Emphasis will also be placed on the importance of interaction with humans, from the potent roles of some insects in agriculture, to insects as vectors of disease. Three hours lecture and two hours laboratory per week. Prerequisite: BS 1114. Fall, even years.
