This course includes nursing assessment and health promotion within the context of a community, identifying needs endemic to the people within it. Health promotion and treatment will be provided with a holistic perspective on health. Students are given opportunities to learn about health care delivery in the context of cultural, family, socio-economic, and religious systems. Community locations and terms of course offerings will vary.
