This course focuses on the role of the professional nurse as a leader and manager in a changing healthcare delivery system. Leadership and management theory is applied to clients at the primary, secondary and tertiary levels of care. Critical thinking, research and decision making in culturally diverse health care settings are discussed. Professional behaviors, economics of health care delivery, policy, ethical, legal and selected issues inherent in leadership and management are analyzed.
