This course explores theories, models and principles of ethical decisionmaking in nursing situations across the lifespan in a variety of settings. Nursing and health care decision making dilemmas are identified and analyzed toward refining critical thinking and advocacy on the part of the nurse. Ethical principles as a foundation of nursing practice and as a guide to teaching-learning processes are clarified.
