History seniors who do not complete an internship or student teaching are required to submit a senior thesis, which is supervised through the History Department faculty. The thesis will involve extensive primary and secondary research on an approved topic, which will result in a written work that is appropriate for presentation or publication. While the thesis may be researched and written over the span of senior year, the student will not receive a grade for the thesis writing course until the thesis project is completed and approved by the department.
