The purpose of this course is to explore methods and materials for teaching and learning materials for teaching and learning mathematics in the secondary school. Students will develop skills for lesson planning and crafting math curriculum for effective instruction and assessment of learning. Students learn methods and materials unique to 5-12 Mathematics teaching. Planning for teaching and learning experiences based on secondary student learning needs is the focus. ( Prerequisites: EDU 370, 371 and 440) Concurrent enrollment in EDU 399.
