3-3 An introduction to the cell as a biological unit and various molecular aspects of DNA, RNA, and protein structure, function, and expression. Topics include ultrastructure of the cell, macromolecular organization and function of cell components, recombinant DNA and genetic engineering, and regulation of gene activity.
