In-depth experience with telecommunications fundamentals, including voice, LAN and WAN systems. Standards and standard organizations will be studied. Installation, configuration and man agement of the technologies will be practiced. Topics: telecommunication devices, network hardware and software, network applications, cost-benefit analysis, distributed versus centralized systems, architectures, topologies and protocols, network performance analysis, privacy security, reliability, installation of networks, network configurations.
