This course is interdisciplinary in its orientation and its purpose is to familiarize students with the rich diversity of professional literature contributing to the field of gerontology. In addition, it is designed to demonstrate the linkages between theoretical issues and practical concerns in the field of aging. The course will draw upon the knowledge and experience of a variety of scientists and practitioners who will lead discussions on selected issues to be identified by the seminar's participants. Prerequisites: Gerontology 101 and 12 additional hours of gerontology course work 3 semester hours; upon student demand
