A studio course where elementary product design projects are assigned. Projects will begin with advanced foundation studies, along with simple hand held products, and advance through simple mechanically activated products. Emphasis will be placed on aesthetic development, user requirements, and design for manufacturability. A beginning professional portfolio will be initiated. Prerequisite: Foundation courses and Drafting. 3 semester hours
