The scope and function of the elementary school, K-8. Role of the teacher in planning, developing, and evaluating learning experiences in language arts, mathematics, science, social studies, art, PE, and music; materials of instruction; use of audiovisual equipment; curriculum and instructional processes; classroom management, teaching strategies, and standards for the content areas. Includes 25 hours of guided experience in elementary schools. This course meets requirements for English Language Learner Instruction.
