An exploration of anthropological methods used in the collection and analysis of ethnographic data. Students will practice participant observation, selecting ethnographic informants, interviewing key informants, and more systematic methods such as survey research. They will also consider ethical issues surrounding anthropological research and assess different kinds of ethnographic writing. (Prerequisite: ANTH 4110)
