This course is a basic introduction to the use of statistics for nurses in the field of health sciences. Topics include descriptive statistics, hypothesis tests (t-tests, chi-square, one-way analysis of variance and non-parametric tests), and linear regression. Students will be required to do statistical computation on the computer and must have SPSS available. Prerequisite: undergraduate statistics. [3 or 4]
