Nurse and Society III is the third in a series of on-line courses to facilitate your professional role development. The focus of this course is the role of the professional nurse in managing care within the current political, social and economic health care environment. A nursing case management framework will be used with emphasis on interdisciplinary collaborative communication. The benefits to patients when care is based on practice standards, multidisciplinary planning, quality monitoring and outcome evaluation will be examined. Prerequisite: Successful completion of all Tier II courses. Co-requisite: registration with a clinical course. (1 Credit)
