Provides, in a two-quarter sequence, the advanced HSM student with the opportunity to integrate applied research and analytical methods with health care management knowledge and skills. The student designs and tests a hypothesis that addresses a problem important to the delivery of health care and the management of health care organizations. Major emphasis is placed on project and data management, quantitative and other analytic techniques, and communication skills. Prerequisites: HSM 502, 504A&B, 532, 533, 552, 557, 572, and HHV (the new ethics course. [(4 Credits each), total 8]
