Explores the multiple, complex and historically changing meanings of the concepts of race and ethnicity in Latin America, and the consequences of discrimination towards specific groups based on these concepts. Regions covered will be the Caribbean, Atlantic Central America, and the Pacific, Atlantic and Andean regions of South America. Salient issues will be covered for each region.
