Push-hands, the two-person t'ai-chi ch'uan exercise, is the most immediate practical application of the t'ai-chi ch'uan form. Students learn to relax while in relationship with someone else's energy. They experientially learn the principles of center and balance as well as the power of yielding. Students begin to utilize these principles not only in the push-hands situation but in everyday situations as well.
