An introduction to selected quantitative models drawn from areas of biology such as ecology, genetics and physiology. For each model, the course includes an investigation of the mathematical methods, an evaluation of the model, and some elementary simulation techniques. Prerequisite: Mathematics 126 and 1 college biology course. (Meets the Critical Perspectives: Scientific Investigation of the Natural World requirement.) (Also listed as Biology 356.) 1 unit - Brown.
