An introduction to literary theory and criticism. Students will study selected poetry, plays and fiction through leading methods such as New Criticism, Structuralism, Deconstruction, and New Historicism, with attention to such topics as Psychoanalytic, Marxist, Feminist, and Post-Colonial approaches.
