All the work done in this course will be produced in one form of reversed tonality or another; everything that ordinarily is positive will be rendered in the negative. The technical range of processes applied will be broad. We will start with the photogram, cliche verre, chemo-prints, and paper negatives. Our exploration will then continue into more contemporary means, Kodak, direct positive processing, Scala positives inverted, color transparencies reversed, digital flipping, and the like. Prerequisite: Art Studio 217 or Art Studio 117 and a portfolio approved by Charles Walters Materials Fee $30. (Not offered 2008-09.) .5 unit.
