Topics include low (aqueous) and higher temperature phenomena, crystal chemistry, trace-element distribution, isotopic and applied geochemical methods. Three hours lecture and three hours lab per week. Prerequisites: one introductory geology class (such as GEOL 201, 211, or 221) and one semester of a chemistry lab class. Alternate years.
