A study of the political dimension of the proclamation of God's saving power. It undertakes political, historical, and social analysis of a given period or context. Different forms/contexts of political life (i.e., Latin American, European, Middle Eastern, and North American) are variously considered with a view toward examining how the Gospel bears upon questions of power, alienation, resistance, identity, truthfulness, and forgiveness. Prerequisite: BITH 315 or 374. (2 credits)
