Prerequisite: Swimming test. Leads to Red Cross certification in life-guarding with a waterfront lifeguard certificate. First aid, AED use, oxygen use, and CPR for the professional rescuer are also included in this course. ($20 course fee.) Only one hour can be applied toward the general education requirement. The other hour can be applied to the 124-hour graduation requirement as an elective. (2 credits)
