Through class discussion, films, and research about minority cultures, students explore and examine such sociological concepts as assimilation, conflict, and pluralism. The emphasis of the course is on an applied perspective with a policy orientation. Prerequisite: SOC 115 and sophomore standing or above or consent of the instructor. Diversity course.
